2D Gender Scan & 2D/3D/4D Gender Scan
2D Gender Scan from £39
Here at Baby Moments we offer two gender scan options for Mums and Dads wishing to find out whether they are expecting a little girl or little boy.
Our 3D/4D Gender Scan is available from 16 weeks of pregnancy and is a 15 minute scan.
We will start by checking that the baby and pregnancy are developing as they should, measuring fetal growth and checking for any obvious abnormalities. We will then move on to look at the gender of your baby. Although we can never 100% guarantee the sex of the baby, the accuracy when good images are obtained is very high.
You will receive black and white thermal printout pictures to take home at the end of your scan and we will be pleased to give you a glimpse of HDLive (4D moving images of your baby in baby colour) during your scan. You will also receive a USB stick with all the 2D & 3D images captured during your scan.
We are unable to offer a gender scan prior to 16 weeks gestation, as any results obtained would simply not be reliable earlier than this. If your baby is measuring less than 16 weeks at your appointment you will be invited to re-book at a later date.
If, due to the position of the baby, the gender is not revealed we will invite you to walk or move around to encourage the baby to change position. If we are still unable to ascertain the gender, we are able to offer a free rescan if you have booked our 3D/4D full gender scan.

Our 2D Gender Scan is available from 17 weeks of pregnancy and is a 10-minute scan. We will start by checking that the baby and pregnancy are developing as they should, measuring fetal growth and checking for any obvious abnormalities. We will then move on to look at the gender of your baby. Although we can never 100% guarantee the sex of the baby, the accuracy when good images are obtained is very high.
You will receive 2 black and white thermal printout pictures to take home at the end of your scan along with the measurement printout.
Please note, if you are dated under 17 weeks at the appointment (even by 1 day), the scan will not be able to take place. Trying to determine gender under 17 weeks in a short space of time can be unreliable. If we are not able to ascertain the gender, we are unable to offer a free rescan if you have booked our 2D quick gender.

For all our scans we recommend the following:
- Wear loose comfortable clothing
- Most scans will give the best result with a reasonably full bladder, so drink a glass of water before you arrive for your appointment unless you are advised otherwise by us before your appointment
- Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your appointment time so that you can relax before the scan
